The Singapore Opens Netball Team have arrived in the Waikato for a series of training games against Hamilton’s top premier netball teams.

  1. Why was the Level 2 Performance Programme started?

The Purpose of the Level 2 programme is to support the transition of athletes as they move to the BEKO level of competition.

In a match up that not many would have picked at the start of the week, Trust Waikato Hamilton City and Manawatu will meet in today’s final of the 2017 Netball NZ U19 Champs in Wellington.

On Sunday 2 July Harbourside Netball Centre hosted the inaugural University of Waikato Zone Cluster Tournament. The rainy weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits with a total of 32 teams competing throughout the day. There was a great turnout with 16 U15 teams, 11 U17 teams, and 5 U19 teams including an invitational team; the Magic Zone Barbarians.

1. Why was the Level 1 Performance Programme started?

 

The purpose of the Level 1 Performance Programme is to increase the skills of talented athletes in the Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone and to introduce performance principles and preparation for training and competing at high intensity.

The Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty (WBOP) team took on the unbeaten Netball Central in the final round of the Beko Netball League at Tokoroa Events Centre on Saturday

A top sportswoman who became a top police officer has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours. 

Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty (WBOP) took on Netball Mainland in the BEKO league at Cambridge High School over the weekend.
