Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty (WBOP) took on Netball Mainland in the BEKO league at Cambridge High School over the weekend.

Netball WBOP are thrilled with the announcement that WBOP Magic team members Kelly Jury and Monica Falker have been named in the 12 strong NZU21 Team to defend their title at Netball World Youth Cup Gaborone 2017 (NWYC2017), July 8-16

Waikato Bay of Plenty led from start to finish, as we continued to build on our win from last week.

Netball New Zealand (NNZ) recently announced the athletes selected in the 2017/18 Pathway to Podium (P2P) squad, five of them being from Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty.

A good start to the game, with ball speed and patience on attack, and team pressure on defence enabled the 16 -11 lead after the first quarter.

Our first win of the season, and a satisfying one at that!

A strong start to our second game of the season was pleasing to see, with the injection of Amorangi, Grace and Alex from the Magic team, bringing great intensity, strength and communication through-out the court.

The workshops will enable attendees to deliver the NetballSmart dynamic warm-up to their teams, with the aim of preventing injuries and enhancing player performance.
