The Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Awards, in partnership with SKYCITY Hamilton, will take place next Wednesday 29 August at SKYCITY Hamilton.

On Monday 30 July, a select group of netball supporters and local business people joined Netball WBOP Board Members, staff and Magic & WBOP Beko Netball League players, for a soft launch of a new donor/patronage club for netball in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone – the Magic Women First Club.

Round 10 saw the WaiBOP Beko side host the Northern Marvels from Auckland for the final home game of the season at the wonderful facilities at Tokoroa Events Centre.

Round 9 saw the WaiBOP Beko side travel to Gore to take on the South team, for the final away game of the season.

After two weeks travelling away, Round 8 saw the WaiBOP team make their first appearance at their new home venue, The Peak, against the Northern Comets.

After a loss last weekend, Round 7 saw a determined WaiBOP Beko team travel to the Trust Arena in Waitakere, to take on the Northern Marvels team.

Round 6 saw another top-of-the table clash, between WaiBOP and Central, this time down at the TSB Arena in Wellington. After a close game back in Round 2, this game was always going to be an exciting encounter.

MATCH SUMMARY:

After a loss to Mainland last weekend, the WaiBOP side were looking to reverse the result this week, in the Round 5 rematch, held at Rotorua Girls High School.
