Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty (NWBOP) invite expressions of interest from suitably experienced and committed coaches interested in applying for the Synergy Hair Netball League (SHNL) Head Coach Position. The purpose of the NWBOP Synergy Hair Netball League Head Coach is to:
- coach SHNL team players and other targeted players with performance potential in the WaiBOP area
- work with the ANZ Premiership Head Coach to prepare high potential players for the ANZ Premiership
- deliver a successful SHNL Campaign
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and team coaching to develop player technical and tactical capabilities for players identified
- Lead the coaching of pathway (hub) players including up to 8 players most likely to progress to ANZ Premiership level in the next 2-3 years.
- Work with other player development staff to ensure development players have Player Improvement Plans aligned with the NNZ player pathway and Silver Ferns success profile (PURE)
- Working with the Magic Head Coach ensure a schedule of engagement with the Magic team (including attendance at training and combined training sessions) to ensure program alignment.
- Lead the Synergy Hair Netball League Campaign; including campaign planning, selection and coaching
- Meeting with the Assistant coach and all management team, to ensure a clear direction and understanding on roles and responsibilities for the campaign
- Develop a campaign plan which aligns to the overarching ANZ Premiership plan to ensure success across both programs
- Working with the ANZ Premiership Head Coach and other selectors (where applicable) select a SHNL squad for the season aligned with the Magic player depth chart.
- Plan the team competition, practice and playing program for the season in conjunction with team management and Magic staff
- Lead the establishment of a performance culture aligned with the values of the Zone and Magic for players, coaches and staff
- Lead the coordination, delivery and analysis of the player feedback process, as well as Player Improvement Plans (PIPs)
