Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty (NWBOP) invite expressions of interest from suitably experienced and committed Physiotherapists interested in applying for the National Netball League (NNL) Team Physiotherapist Position.
The purpose of the NWBOP National Netball League Team Physiotherapist is to:
Manage injuries effectively and efficiently. Evaluate and mitigate injury risk and lead injury prevention programme. Due to the breadth of our Zone – the applicant must be aware travel is required with this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Immediate assessment of injuries within 24hrs
- Initiate rehabilitation plans with milestones shared with Coaches within 48hrs
- Flag S+C for modifications required within 48hrs
- Provide timely information on athlete availability to coach and support team to positively influence performance decisions.
- Deliver individualised goal-based objective plans for athletes to transition effectively out of season (in collaboration with athlete and S+C)
- Deliver an effective strategy for mitigating the risks of injury (collaborating with coaching staff and S+C).
- Lead team activation/warm up and recovery processes (consistent with Nationally established protocols)
- To communicate relevant information regarding players of interest to Magic Physio and coaching staff
