MATCH SUMMARY:
After a loss to Mainland last weekend, the WaiBOP side were looking to reverse the result this week, in the Round 5 rematch, held at Rotorua Girls High School.
This week’s game was a top of the table clash between WBOP and Mainland. WBOP travelled away, down to Christchurch and then on to Ashburton.
Round 3 saw the Waikato Bay of Plenty Beko Netball League side travel away for the first time, heading north to take on the Northern Comets at the new ANZ Premiership venue, the Bruce Pulman Arena.
Round 2 saw the young Waikato Bay of Plenty side at home against last year’s champions, Central.
It was great to start the season off today, with an anticipated tough match against South. After a long and hard pre-season, the players were excited to display all their skills and learnings out on court.
The Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone, is excited to announce the 2018 Beko Netball League Squad. Players from both sides of the Kaimai’s have made the squad and this seasons line up promises to bring extra strength to our Beko League campaign.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee in conjunction with Netball New Zealand announced the New Zealand Netball team to compete at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, earlier today.
